New phishing recognition service to launch July 24.
In the ongoing campaign against phishing, the IU Security Center offers external email flagging to help protect you and your personal information. The service will be activated for all IU accounts on July 24.
After this date, messages received from non-IU email addresses will have an [External] tag added to the beginning of the subject line. You will also see a warning at the top of the message with a reminder to use caution when clicking linking or opening attachments from external sources.
This service can be turned off at any time by toggling the setting in the IU Security Center.
