Linux Administration – Landscape
The College has an on-premise Canonical Landscape installation for managing Ubuntu workstations. From its simple web UI you can install and remove software packages, manage local users, assign policies for automatic security updates, and run custom scripts. Landscape provides reports on machines which have pending security updates or which haven’t recently contacted the server to help you ensure your systems are compliant with IU policies.
The College is covering the licensing costs to make this service available to all College units at no cost. At this time, servers are not supported.
If you are interested in using Landscape, contact scranfor@iu.edu.
